Seven Thorns is a Danish Metal group that hails from Denmark. The band originally formed in 1998 and has been through multiple lineup changes since then. It seems they have found a remarkable collection of musicians on their recently released album titled, Return To The Past.
The first track off the disc, “Liberty,” wastes no time getting down to business and establishing the group’s exceptional power ballad skills. The song’s powerful lyrics will easily ignite feelings of freedom and independence in listeners whether they are metal lovers or not.
“Forest Majesty,” begins with a soothing folk melody but quickly launches into a fast paced metal song. The track is about wanting to be surrounded by the beauty of nature, hence the name, “Forest Majesty.” It also features amazingly tight guitar licks.
Return To The Past is an almost ideal metal album from Denmark’s Seven Thorns. The album is full of the band’s majestic power ballads and great vocals. The band’s current singer is quite fluent in English. Nothing should stand in the way of this album being a success with metal fans.
