Impostor Syndrome is a small-time band from New York City that has just put out a new album entitled Block Party.
The album features five tracks including one called “Cigarette Song.” The song has a nice, cool rock sound and smooth vocals from the band’s silky sounding female singer. Her not too deep, not too high voice really complements the music well.
“Courtesy Call” is another track that features the smooth rock vocals. The song is about having courtesy towards those in your life. The drums and guitar are also quite strong on this album, especially this song.
Impostor Syndrome is a decent band with a good, almost dark sound that is made up of smooth vocals, good drums and guitars. However, it might be nice if Block Party had a little more variety, but regardless, there is still some good material here that will leave people wanting more.
